Tola Sylvan is a writer and creator.

Her work has appeared in Ploughshares, The Iowa Review, and POETRY, among others. She taught in the undergraduate creative writing program at WashU, where she was a Fellow in Poetry, and she has received support from Tin House, Tupelo Press, and the Mellon Foundation.

She has led product development at startups in education (Academia, IXL) and received an ScB in Cognitive Science from Brown University.

She enjoys mentoring young poets and building new experiences (like this one in an abandoned bunker).
